Rural missions organization to the Heartland of America and beyond. Missions to the Middle serves as a scaffolding for the restoration of rural Christian communities, a most critical missions field for the security of our nation’s people everywhere.
Missions to the Middle (MTTM) strives to bring spiritual vitality back to the small towns in Rural America. Church after church has been left destitute in these once thriving towns. Missions to the Middle aims to bring the life of Christ into these towns once again, restoring the vibrance of these areas, which are critical to the security of our nation’s people. This Heartland is the bread basket of our nation, from which a vast amount of our nation’s agriculture is sourced.
One in every five Americans live in these rural areas, which makes it a mission field of nearly 60 million people. The caveat is that these people are dispersed across large areas with very small towns between, often home to only a few hundred people. These modestly sized churches cannot afford full-time pastors. Yet, pastoral duties ought not be a vocation, but rather a calling worthy of fulfilling on behalf of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The rural citizens of our nation put food on our families’ tables, ought we not consider how we can feed them the Bread of Life that is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, indeed Christ Himself? We ask you to consider our nation’s own, as a mission field in great need, and support home missions here in America.
